Today I am so excited to share with you Michaela and Tim’s Aiken SC engagement photos! These two lovely humans are getting married next week, and I cannot wait to join them on their wedding day as their South Carolina wedding photographer.
Aiken SC Engagement Photos
A few weeks ago, I met up with Michaela and Tim to tour their church, look over their reception location, and photograph a few portraits of them. We walked around downtown Aiken for about 15 to 20 minutes, just getting to know each other and photographing a few cute snaps of the couple together. I have not photographed a wedding at Michaela and Tim’s church or reception venue previously, so it was great to be able to get an idea of the space before their day and get to know them a bit more before the wedding.

Michaela and Tim graciously took the time to share with me a little bit about how they met, how the proposal went down, and their plans for their lives after the wedding! I am excited to share with you a little bit more about them as a couple today and these South Carolina engagement photos!
“Tim and I met in Edisto, SC in the summer of 2016. He was scared to talk to me at first, but after a week at the beach, messaged me on facebook. We started to get to know each other better, and he asked me to go to Carowinds with him and a few friends. I said ‘yes!’, but wanted to have a date just the two of us first. He came down to Charleston, because I asked. We went to dinner and to Folly Beach on our first date. We walked along the beach, talking and looked up at the stars.”
“My whole family told me it was my cousin’s 6th birthday party ,and we were having the part at our lake house. When we showed up, Tim and I took the gas cans to the boat so we could take it out later. After he placed the gas cans in the boat, he turned around with a green box, and got down on the dock on one knee. To which I replied “you lied!!,” he then asked me to marry him. And, of course, I said, “Yes!” Both of our families then came down and congratulated us! He also had invited my best friends to come, and we had a big party with everyone.”
“I love how encouraging, supportive, and selfless Tim is. He’s always willing to put others before himself and loves me unconditionally. He has a love for the Lord, and ,as a Christian, this is very important to me. I love her personality her selflessness, and love for God. She’s beautiful inside and out. I love how she loves kids and is very intelligent.”
“We enjoy kayaking, being outside, going to the beach and mountains, going to sports games, hanging out, having chill nights with a movie and popcorn, and just being together!””
From Tim: “The very first moment I met Michaela ,I knew she was the one. She was everything I had ever wanted in a future spouse and the mother of my children.”
From Michaela: “For me it took a little longer, I first knew I was in love with Tim when something tragic happened in his life, and I wanted nothing more than to be there for him then and continue to be there for the rest of his life.”
