The Chickawa Outdoor Center is a unique and beautiful venue right inside the Saluda River Club in Lexington, SC, and the day I’m happily showcasing here did not disappoint. I am honored to show you a few of my favorite images from this beautiful Chickawa Outdoor Center wedding.
The Story
Tripp and Jessica initially met online. Once they finally met in person, their love bloomed. Tripp asked Jessica to marry him while they were on a walk together and the rest is history! Under a setting sun, Jessica and Tripp said their “I do’s” in front of a gathering of their family and friends. Now they are a week and a few days married, and I am so excited to be showing off their full day.
The Big Day
As we were planning their photography coverage for this Chickawa Outdoor Center wedding, Jessica made sure to preserve her reveal moment to Tripp until their ceremony. She assured me he would have an emotional reaction, and Jessica was not wrong. As soon as he saw her on her daddy’s arm, he smiled with this sweet, sheepish smile and tears welled in his eyes. It was such a beautiful and touching moment, y’all. When I went back and edited the images from Tripp’s reaction, I even found tears in MY eyes! You can just see how much he loves, cherishes, and respects Jessica—it’s just so beautiful.
I hope you enjoy my favorites from Jessica and Tripp’s Chickawa Outdoor Center Wedding, and that you leave the happy couple some love in the comments below! Congratulations, Tripp and Jessica!!

One of my favorite parts of every wedding day is being able to see how each couple shows off their unique style throughout their details and apparel, and I am totally IN LOVE with Jessica and Tripp’s wedding ring set! Tripp’s band is the first time I’ve ever seen one of my groom’s rock some rose gold, and it looked SO good. Filing this image away in favorites for the rest of my life, you know what I mean?!
Gettin’ Pretty
Jessica was a calm and happy bride as she and her girls got their hair and makeup done at a hotel near the Saluda River Club. Her maid of honor helped her into her stunning gown (from Evelyn’s Bridal and Formal Wear), and her hair and makeup were flawless (shout out to Sawana Hampton and Pretty and Pinned)!!
Tripp and his groomsmen finished dressing and tying their ties at the venue, and then we rolled right into their portraits! He was incredibly dapper in his navy suit and baby pink tie.
The groom gave each of his groomsmen a custom watch as a gift on the wedding day, and man, don’t they all look sharp?!
No Peeking!
As Tripp hid away before the ceremony, I snuck off for a few portraits of the bride. These are some of my favorite images from their day because Jessica is just GLOWING with excitement and anticipation. They opted not to see each other before the ceremony, and just wait till you see Tripp’s reaction to Jessica in her gown!!!
Chickawa Outdoor Center Wedding
Right as the sun was setting, their ceremony began. Tripp watched as his bride made her way to him with tears in his eyes and a proud smile on his face. These are those photos I was talking about! Just look at all the LOVE Tripp has for Jessica!! Ah!
They prayed together, built a unity cross with their pastor, and exchanged rings and vows. Finally, they sealed it all with a kiss!
Finally Mr & Mrs!
Then we began portraits of their wedding party and with just the bride and groom, right before the sunset.
And now for some of my favorite images from the day: Portraits of the couple together. Couples portraits are always my favorites from each wedding day, and Jessica and Tripp’s did not disappoint. In the last few moments, before the sun slipped behind the horizon, they laughed, kissed, and snuggled for me flawlessly.
Then they walked over to their reception in the Chickawa Outdoor Center, designed and styled by OVERFLOWevents with help from the rentals provided by Something Borrowed. The linens hanging over the reception area transformed the entire space, and I just loved how they photographed and bounced light for me during the reception!
The couple shared a first dance, dances with their parents, and cut the cake surrounded by friends and family at the Chickawa Outdoor Center. The maid of honor and best man both gave touching speeches about their friendships with the couple, and then we started to dance the night away to the tunes of DJ Manny.
Jessica and Tripp participated in tossing the bouquet and the garter. Check out what happened when Tripp threw the garter! It got caught on the chandelier, and the groomsmen had to boost a friend up to grab it!
Oh, did I forget to mention the ‘Magic Mike’ moment Tripp had with Jessica? HA!
And they ended their Chickawa Outdoor Center Wedding under a show of sparklers and cheers from friends and family!
I hope you enjoyed a few of my favorite frames from Jessica and Tripp’s Chickawa Outdoor Center wedding. If you did, be sure to leave the couple a ‘congrats’ in the comments below!
