Because they aren’t just pictures. They’re your memories, frozen in time.
Your wedding pictures should capture all the emotion, all the love, and all the details of your special day…
And the key to photos like that starts before I even pick up my camera. Using my proven and refined wedding photography process, we will build a fun, safe relationship between you, your partner, and I so that you’ll feel 100% comfortable in front of my lens.
Timeless photographs that you can pass down for generations.
Book your wedding day
your photos should take
Needless to say,
your breath away.
Before the big day, we’ll meet for a custom consultation and lay all your plans and photography needs out on the table. I'll be sure to address all of your questions on what to expect from a wedding photographer. If we decide to work together, you’ll fill out some comprehensive questionnaires that will ensure we’ll get the photos you dream of on the day of your wedding. I’ll also give you some custom wedding photography timeline suggestions, helpful planning tips, and a list of my favorite vendors in the area if you’re local.
As one of my couples, you’ll get access to a private online website where ALL of these details live, so you’ll have everything at your fingertips!
On the day of your wedding you’ll get to relax and soak in every moment with your partner, 100% confident that I’ve got everything under control and am capturing the most beautiful images of your unique love story…
Not every relationship, couple, wedding day, and ceremony are the same. Your photos shouldn’t look the same, either.
On the day of your wedding, I won’t ask you to strike a cookie-cutter pose. Instead, I’ll guide you into a relaxed moment with your partner where you can let your guard down and truly be yourselves.
Don’t worry, I’ll tell you what to do with your hands! I won’t leave you hanging or feeling awkward.
You don’t have to be a model in order for us to get gorgeous images. In fact, I just want you to be yourself, so that you can look back and recognize yourselves and your connection in every photograph.
Are you feeling a connection between us? We might be the perfect fit!
My wedding photography process is extensive and in-depth, and has been shaped by 8 years of professional experience.
After you officially book with me, we begin to prep and plan! I’Il open a private “client lounge” on my website that includes helpful tips covering everything from what to wear to your engagement session and how to pick the location of your portraits, to example wedding photo timelines for your big day. I’ll even include some of my favorite vendors if you’re local to South Carolina. By the time your special day arrives, we’ll have a solid plan in place so you won’t have to stress!
I want my couples to be able to enjoy their day, be present in their memories, and love remembering their wedding for years to come! The timeline we will build together will keep my team, you two, your wedding party, your vendor team, and your family all on track. I’ll also bring an assistant with me to act as an extra pair of hands, help gather family members for photos, alleviate any frustration, and make sure we get every last shot!
I’ll deliver your online image gallery within 6-8 weeks after your wedding day. You’ll receive a collection of breathtaking, edited images that tells the story of your wedding day and reflects the true and genuine amount of joy, love, and emotion you felt in the moment. Your gallery link is easy to share with friends and family, and anyone can download and print their favorite images right from the site. Can you say EASY?
No matter where you love or are getting married in the world, I'd love to join you! I'm based in South Carolina but travel the globe for my couples! I have such a heart for exploring new cities, states, and countries with my camera.
If you're looking for gorgeous photos that show your true connection anywhere in the world, I'd love to chat! I happily offer traveling options for anniversaries, engagements, portraits, and wedding days. Get in contact with me and let's capture your memories right where you are!

Jessica will cull out (or delete) test shots and duplicates or anything that would waste your time. We do like to include as many photos as we can, even ones that aren't personal favorites because we know those shots tell the story of your wedding day. Jessica loves to include bloopers, too! A typical wedding ends up with about 75-100 per hour, which is more than one photo per minute.
No, you won’t, and trust me, you do not even want them all! Jessica will go through and pick out the best of the best that represent the story of your day best. Blurry or too dark shots will be removed, so when your gallery arrives, it only holds the best images possible from your wedding day.
Jessica shoots on an arsenal of professional Canon equipment during your wedding day and session, and not to worry, we have backups on backups ready just in case! Just remember, the camera is just a tool for your photographer and is not as important as the person using it.
Jessica’s second shooter may vary at weddings depending on who is available. We work with a small local group of equally talented wedding photographers who all know the business inside and out. We promise the second shooter will always be just as awesome as Jess!
Funny you should ask, actually! Jessica loves to get to know each of her couples personally, but sometimes, with 25+ couples, the details get a little jumbled. We love to have these personal details about you and your love story written down so Jessica can back and reference them before your sessions and wedding day.
I’m so glad you asked! We love seeing our clients and real weddings published, and we love that you want that for your day too! The easiest way to get published is two-fold. First, be sure to fill out your ‘Wedding Vendor Questionnaire’ completely when it’s sent to your inbox a month before your wedding date. The more information Jessica has about your vendors, the best chance of getting your wedding featured. And secondly, be sure to book a healthy 8 hour timeline with Jessica on your wedding day so our team has enough time to document every little thing!
Gosh, you’re the best! Thank you so much for asking such an important question! The best way to show your photographer love is to be sure that when sharing your images, you are tagging Jessica in the images AND leaving a link to ‘www.jessicahuntphotography.com’ underneath each one in the description. We love celebrating with your friends and family through your images, so be sure to tag Jess in each post!
You can find Jessica on social media and add her as a friend right here:
You can do that right from your gallery, actually! Just click on the image you’d like to purchase and add it to your cart! Once you’ve finalized your order and paid the balance, your images will be professionally printed and sent straight to your home for your to enjoy!
You’re absolutely welcome to download your images and have them printed at the location of your choice. Just remember, Jessica Hunt Photography is not responsible for any of these out-side purchases and cannot ensure perfect picture quality for prints not ordered through JHP’s chosen lab.
Well, you see, we’ve got just the thing for this one! It’s pretty easy, actually. Just be sure to share all over your social media when Jessica posts either a sneak peek into your day or a blog post featuring your images! Easy peasy, right? Just click that share button for us any time your images are shared, and that will result in a very happy photographer! ;)
Actually, we encourage you to avoid this! Pinterest can be great for getting inspiration for poses and wedding days, but often those shots to not take into account who YOU are and who YOU love. We here at JHP don’t want to just put you in a cookie-cutter pose that every couple has done before. We want to take beautiful images that show off your love and your relationship, so feel free to leave your Pinterest app untouched for now.
Your engagement session will last 1 to 1.5 hours on the location or locations of your choice. But, not to worry, if you and your fiancé are ROCKING it and want to keep shooting or if Jessica has not captured everything she wants to for you, the session will last as long as we need it to!
Absolutely!! Jessica LOVES to travel and explore new locations, so if you have an idea for a location outside of the greater Columbia area, let’s do it! 60 miles of complimentary travel come with your session’s investment, and additional travel above 60 miles will be billed at .52$ a mile.
Yes, actually! It may seem a little excessive at first, but making sure you look and feel as beautiful as possible is super important for your images! When you feel pampered and extra-confident after getting your makeup professionally done, it will show in your images and make you look just that much better. Also, you only get engaged once, right? Why not make the experience a little better and truly embrace celebrating this important time in your life? Trust me, you won’t regret it!
If the forecast calls for rain consistently before your scheduled date, Jessica will get in contact with you about moving your session about 48 hours before your session. Engagement sessions are the one thing we can move without too much hassle throughout this experience, so if Jessica thinks a sunnier, bright day will be better for your images, she will be in contact with you to reschedule your date and time.
A bridal session is a session with Jessica and just the bride. This session is mean to document in every way possible the bride and her gown and details, and many brides order a canvas along with this session to display at their reception. You absolutely do not have to have a bridal session, but if you’re looking for a way to make your experience just a bit more special, this is a perfect way to extend the celebration.
Absolutely!! Jessica LOVES to travel and explore new locations, so if you have an idea for a location outside of the greater Columbia area, let’s do it! 60 miles of complimentary travel come with your session’s investment, and additional travel above 60 miles will be billed at .52$ a mile.
We suggest you choose your favorite shot from your bridal session that shows you off in your gown and that you feel best about. Full length, vertical images are our suggestion, but this is YOUR portrait, girl, so feel free to pick whatever photo of yourself that you love the most.
Ah, our favorite question! A First Look is when the couple opts to see each other before the ceremony for a variety of reasons. The main reason is so the couple can enjoy their reveal moment to each other in an intimate and personal way, instead of that moment happening in front of hundreds of family and friends. A First Look before the ceremony also allows for Jessica to capture all of your portraits as a couple and full wedding party together to get you to the reception a full 40 minutes faster!
Okay, so get this. First Look equals getting to the party faster. Not only will you receive more photos of you two together as a couple, but you’ll also get all of that craziness out of the way before the ceremony so you can get right to the reception.
Yes, you’re absolutely welcome to have different locations for getting ready, the ceremony, and the reception, but we recommend staying in one place for your day. IF we need to travel between locations, the travel time will count towards your continuous wedding day coverage.
Yes, the JHP team will eat during the reception, but only after all of the reception activities are over or the night has reached a lull for the meal. Don’t worry, Jessica grabbing a few bites of your delicious food will not make her miss anything! If anything, those few bites are going to make your wedding day images even BETTER!
If it rains on your wedding day, do not fret! Jessica has photographed many rainy wedding days, and the JHP team is ready to handle these adjustments. Jessica will be in contact with you the days leading up to the wedding to help you plan and adjust to with the weather.
Having a second shooter is always a good idea! Another photographer there on your day will allow Jessica to focus on those ‘have to have’ shots while the other photographer documents candid and detail focused shots of your day. A second photographer is also always a great idea to have if you’re having a large or unique ceremony, as two cameras can always capture more than one.
After 7 years of shooting weddings, Jessica has worked out a plan for this situation and is able to capture both the bride and groom’s reaction in this moment simultaneously.
For almost every wedding timeline, Jessica will schedule at least 3 to 4 hours of photography coverage before the ceremony to cover documenting your details, you getting ready, the wedding party’s portraits, the venue and ceremony location, and any of your special requests. Though it may seem unnecessary, when you see how your gallery tells the story of your day from start to finish, you’ll be so glad Jessica started photography coverage so early!
