The Elegant Wedding Details

Valerie with Expressions Floral Designs told us to GO OFF with all their extra florals in Ashton and RJ’s flat lays. Their elegant and classy wedding details spoke softly in their photographs. I could feel how gentle RJ and Ashton’s love is through their details which totally set the mood for the rest of their wedding day.

Getting Ready

While RJ was finishing up his wedding day look with his groomsmen, Ashton was slipping into her gorgeous dress from Kleinfeld’s in NYC with the help if her mother. She clasped her bracelet on as a final touch to her wedding day look before she was off to have a first look moment with her father.

The First Look

Now that the sweet first look moment between Ashton and her father wrapped up, it was time for the true first look moment. One that left RJ LITERALLY speechless. I’m not even joking, it was a first for Jessica Hunt Photography first looks. This was a groom that loved his bride in literally every single way.

Couple’s Portraits

As if the first look moment wasn’t enough to see how much this couple loved one another, their elegant wedding portraits really made that clear. We took a lovely stroll from 1208 Washington down to the South Carolina State House through downtown Columbia for these gorgeous portraits.

The Wedding Party

No wedding day is complete without the wedding party. Ashton and RJ really had quite the friendship and support to join them on their wedding day and they all looked oh so good.

The Ceremony

Right before Ashton would have her father escort her down the aisle, a fierce feathered friend made his way down the aisle to join RJ’s groomsmen. Sir Big Spur, The South Carolina Gamecock’s favorite Rooster joined this elegant wedding day to make it a special one. After Ashton made her way to meet her groom at the alter, they shared lovely vows, some cries, some shared laughter, and a first kiss to seal the deal

Post Ceremony

Of course, the couple had an amazing moment with Sir Big Spur and even captured some “Just Married” portraits while their guests enjoyed cocktail hour.

The Reception Decor

Haley Maree Weddings really knocked this elegant decor out of the park at this Columbia, South Carolina Venue. Each table was topped and finalized with Expression Florals and this space was ready for the couple’s guests.

The Reception

RJ and Ashton entered their reception and hopped straight into their first dances. After these sweet moments, they enjoyed a dinner from Capital City Catering, cut their Ally & Eloise cake, and continues to dance for the rest of the evening thanks to Big Time Entertainment and Twist Bartending. They ended their Elegant Wedding In The Heart Of Columbia, South Carolina with a sparkler exit.
