I’m so excited to share with you my episode from The Bokeh Podcast! I had the opportunity to sit down with Nathan from Photographer’s Edit to chat with him about inclusion and diversity in the wedding industry. Today’s newly released podcast episode on The Bokeh Podcast is a recording of our conversation on that topic.
The Bokeh Podcast
The Bokeh Podcast is a podcast produced and developed by Photographers Edit, a company that provides custom image editing for wedding and portrait photographers. Nathan Holritz is the CEO and founder of Photographer’s Edit and the host of the podcast. The Bokeh Podcast addresses the struggles professional photographers face throughout this crazy thing we call life!
I wanted to share with you today a few links to where you can find the podcasts to listen for yourself, and a few more links for further education in case you’re a photographer or wedding professional looking to diversify your portfolio and ensure that your business is inclusive to every type of couple.
In the podcast, Nathan and I discussed how I was able to develop a more inclusive business model by working with industry publications and the platform, Two Bright Lights, and I shared a few ways that we, as photographers and wedding industry professionals, can be more considerate in our efforts of promoting and exemplifying diversity and inclusion in our businesses and work.
Inclusion and Diversity in the Wedding Industry
I chatted about a few miscellaneous things to get the podcast started off like how I like to be intentional with my time as a business owner, and how I’ve learned over the four years of business that my measure of success can only be set and accomplished by me. We chatted briefly about my favorite lens, the Canon 50mm 1.2, and I shared few tips about how to get published via the Two Bright Lights platform. Then we got into the real meat of the episode, a discussion on inclusion and diversity in the wedding industry as a whole and wedding publications!
