The Details
I couldn’t have asked to photograph better details. All of Stefany and Britt’s details were so thoughtful and perfect. From their chosen color palette to their cookies, I was beyond stoked to photograph such sweet details. My favorite detail from their day was this incredible floral pocket square created by WAS Design. And it looked amazing sitting in Britt’s blazer pocket.
Getting Ready
Stefany slipped into her amazing dress alongside her sister and mother. Britt made sure to give a special recorded gift to Sefany for her to listen to while she got ready. Talk about sweet!? Meanwhile Britt slid on their suit and blazer with their brothers. It may have been a bit gloomy outside this wedding day, but indoors it was full of light and love! I loved that I could capture such sweet moments like the couple getting ready alongside their most cherished loved ones.
The First Look
Although this was an indoors LGBYQ+ Columbia, SC wedding, Britt and Stefany chose to have their first look outside on the Lace House grounds. If you’ve been to the Lace House in Columbia, SC, you know how gorgeous these lush gardens are. It was a perfect setting for this couple’s first look. I will forever recommend having a first look!
When Stefany tapped on Britt’s shoulders for them to turn around and see her for the first time, the Jessica Hunt Photography team was left emotional. I mean, really every wedding we get emotional, it’s why we’re in this business. But you know true love when you see it, and Britt and Stefany are truly in love. You can see if in every photo.
Indoor LGBTQ+ Wedding Portraits
Once the sweet first look wrapped up, we moved into capturing some gorgeous wedding portraits around the grounds of the Lace House. It’s clear to see how perfect this couple is together from these photos. Like I mentioned before, Stefany looked like an angel from a renaissance painting. The movement in this dress, I couldn’t not document that! Don’t worry, I made sure to capture Britt in the amazing navy suit they wore. What a handsome human Britt was on their wedding day!
Not only did we walk through the lush gardens, we made a stop at the fountains on the mall of the Lace House. At that moment, Britt and Stefany really looked like a romantic painting.
The Wedding Party
Before it was time to say their vows at their indoor wedding ceremony, it was super important for Britt and Stefany to have some sweet portraits with their wedding party and families. Their union brought all these amazing people together and it’s something I love about wedding days. The connections these gorgeous well thought out days create. Not only is there a connection between the couple, but new connections created by the people that they love the most!
The Indoor LGBTQ+ Wedding Ceremony
On the overcast November day, Stefany and Britt were married indoors at the Lace House surrounded by their friends and families. Their ceremony visions were brought to life by the amazing Alexis Doktor with the help of Was Designs. It really takes a team to pull off such gorgeous days like Stefany and Britt’s LGBTQ+ wedding day.
They shared their sweet vows and a lovely first kiss, and just like that! They were married!
The Reception
First of all, the design work from their reception was exquisite. The color palette was simply chef’s kiss. And let’s talk about this cake by the amazing Bonnie Brunt Cakes. From the flavor to the design, it was truly a perfect cake for this couple.
Britt and Stefany entered their wedding reception and kicked it off with their first dances. After they danced, they cut cake, ate and drank, and danced more! What a perfect reception it was!
