What To Do If It Rains During Your Engagement Session

So, you’ve booked your engagement photos with your Columbia, South Carolina photographer and It’s calling for rain on your engagement session day. Options To Plan For Your Rainy Day Engagement

OPTION 1:

At booking, chat with your Columbia, SC photographer about a backup plan to your original visions! If your photographer doesn’t reach out about a backup plan, it’s always worth it to reach out yourself and ask about a plan b!

If you’re not sure about indoor locations for your backup plan, your photographer may know of great place to suggest OR you can research on your own local event venues, historical homes in your area, well-designed and lit indoor date night locations that you and your partner love, and any local area that provides overhead coverage from the rain.

If you reach the day of your shoot without a backup plan and it’s raining, simply embrace the rain! You can’t change the weather now. Maybe enjoy the spontaneity in the day and give yourself a different engagement experience than you originally envisioned. Trust the photographer you’ve hired. Be in love and have fun!

OPTION 3:

Combine your first two options! If you found your backup location but want to really embrace the rain, ask your photographer to end your session in the rain for rainy romantic photos. Grab that clear umbrella and take a run with your partner in nature’s hydration!
