I’m so excited to share with you my favorite images from a recent Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center wedding. Today’s featured wedding is Brent and Cass’s wedding day from earlier this year in April, and I cannot wait to show you all of the special little things included in their Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center wedding photos!

Brent and Cass are such a sweet couple who are truly meant for one another, and I saw that for the first time during their engagement session. They love to travel and experience new things together, and they even got engaged in Paris! You can read more about that in their engagement session’s featured blog post HERE.

The Wedding Day

Brent and Cass had their wedding at their home church of Bible Way Church of Atlas Road and had their reception at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. Cass got ready surrounded by only her closest friends and her mom. Brent prepared to say his vows surrounded by his groomsmen. The couple decided to see each other before the ceremony, and it was such a beautiful, private moment for them to share together. Wait till you see Brent’s reaction to seeing Cass in her gown for the first time!!!

Cass and Brent worked to present an elegant wedding day with sweet, subtle hints of southern culture sprinkled throughout. Things like pineapples, gold accents, and uniquely named tables at the reception all added to this same feel.

This couple are truly *friends*, and it’s evident in the way they interact with each other. One of my favorite parts of their wedding day was after the first time they kissed as a married couple at the end of the ceremony, Brent and Cass did their special handshake in front of the congregation! Cass told me that they actually made up that handshake during the first few weeks of dating and have kept it ever since! How cute, right?!

SO, I could totally photograph Cass’s ring all. day. long. Couldn’t you!?!

See that pretty Tag Huer watch below? It was Cass’s gift to Brent on their wedding day. He gave her a pair of diamond earrings because she had mentioned before that the only diamond she owned was the one in her engagement ring. So, he fixed that problem with a pair of diamonds! See what I mean with these two?! They are *actually* the cutest. 

Cass, I hope you know that you’re on the most beautiful brides I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing. Truly, I mean it, lady! You. are. a. vision.

Then it was time for the couple to see each other for the first time…

Then we all headed to the Columbia Convention Center for their reception! Complete with those pretty Southern touches, a few dances, and Cass’s sorors singing their traditional song over her on the dance floor.

And they exited their evening under a shower of bubbles and cheers from their guests…
