The Details

Before the outdoor ceremony could take place, as their photographer I started their day by capturing the details. The details truly set the tone of any wedding day. Your attire, your jewelry and wedding bands, your stationary items. All these details should be remembered forever. Chelsey and Donovan had their stationary beautifully crafted by Magnet Street and their Carolina Blossoms florals and rings looked perfect with this stationary.

Getting Ready

While Donovan was getting his bowtie on with the help of his groomsmen, Chelsey was getting dolled up for her day surrounded by her bridesmaids and mother at The Graduate. It was already a celebration as she finalized her wedding day look and before she even stepped into her Lovely Bride Tara Lauren gown. With the help of her mother, her dress was buttoned and she was looking more than ready to say her vows

As her wedding day look was complete, it was more than exciting for her bridesmaids to have a peak! Wrapping up these getting ready moments with a first look with her father, Chelsey was off to her outdoor wedding venue!

The Wedding Parties

Making a quick stop at the USC Horseshoe, Donovan and his groomsmen had their portraits taken before heading to Hampton-Preston Gardens. The men were looking sharp, but Donovan truly had his smoulder on! They were wedding ready! Meanwhile at the Hampton-Preston gardens, Chelsey posed next to her bridesmaids with her radiant smile. Chelsey was the definition of a perfect bride.

The Hampton-Preston Outdoor Wedding Ceremony

Alexandra with Alexandra Madison Weddings created a gorgeous garden ceremony space with the help from Party Reflections. The Carolina Blossoms florals at the alter gave all the light and springy vibes to reflect this warm May wedding day. Surrounded by guests and all their loved ones, Donovan awaited Chelsey at the alter. Chelsey, escorted by her father, walked down the aisle to meet her husband to be and we were all left emotional. After exchanging rings and vows, this ceremony finished with the sweetest first kiss. Donovan and Chelsey were officially husband and wife!

The Family And Full Wedding Party

As the guests headed to 701 Whaley for cocktail hour, Chelsey and Donovan had their family photos taken along with their full wedding party images. Talk about a good looking group of people!!

The Hampton Preston Couples Portraits

Finally alone, Donovan and Chelsey could intimately celebrate their union. This husband and wife glowed with all the newlywed feels! As their Columbia, SC wedding photographer, it was such a joy to capture their love and joy. The Hampton-Preston gardens served as a perfect setting for Donovan and Chelsey to have their wedding portraits taken before heading off to their reception. The Reception Decor

As gorgeous as the Hampton-Preston gardens are, it made sense to have a reception party inside at 701 Whaley in Columbia, South Carolina. The thoughtfulness that went into the dinner space and every detail presented at the reception was not only a work of magic, but a gorgeous team effort. While Party Reflections and Alexandra Madison Weddings had every place setting looking immaculate, a lovely Twisted Bakery cake awaited in the corner of the space. At the other end of the room, a tequila tasting table by Black Tie Bartending was ready to lighten the mood even more!

The 701 Whaley Reception

Chelsey and Donovan entered their reception space and immediately stepped into their first dance. After some sweet toasts from friends and family, the party began! Many danced and celebrated all thanks to DJ OMTBH and Black Tie Bartending. Party is an underrated statement with how this reception took place. Donovan and Chelsey soon cut their cake, danced more, and finished their day with a sparker exit and kiss!
