Today I wanted to share with you a few photos of my photo on the cover of Premier Weddings Atlanta!! Yes, you read that right! I earned an in print cover of a premier local wedding magazine!! I am SO excited about this achievement and what it means for me and my business, and of course, I had to photograph the magazines when they came in to show you how beautiful the feature is!!

The wedding that was selected by the editors at Premier Weddings Atlanta to be featured as their cover of the 2018 Fall/Winter issue was Matt and Amanda’s Monday Night Garage Wedding Day.  Though I am based in Columbia, South Carolina, I serve couples throughout the Southeast and across the US. Atlanta is one of my main focuses for expansion with my business, and this cover’s printing  has me so excited for the future of my Atlanta wedding photography business in the area!

The Story

I shared a little bit on Instagram about how when I learned I had been selected for the cover, earning a cover was not even on my list of goals. I know that sounds a little crazy, but what I’m trying to say is, I was too afraid to even dream this big. And I learned a lesson from it, friend. I wanted to share that with you today.

Basically, it’s pretty simple. If you’re afraid to dream and afraid to set big goals for yourself, then you’re holding yourself back. See, simple right? Ha!

Do not be afraid to dream big, because either way you’ll  either achieve that dream or you’ll be better for trying.

Well it sounds simple, but it’s a lot harder to do especially if you’re a small business owner, entrepreneur, or creative. But really, I mean it. Don’t be afraid to dream big dreams and to give yourself things that seem  insurmountable. If you’re striving toward something bigger than what you think you can achieve, even if you don’t meet that goal, you’ll still push yourself farther than you would have without ever setting that big goal. Just like that quote almost every Elementary teacher had in their room when I was kind says, “Shoot for the moon, and even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.“ That is what I’m saying here, friend. Do not be afraid to dream big, because either way you’ll  either achieve that dream or you’ll be better for trying. As Miley Cyrus said quite a few years ago, it’s really not about the moment on top of the mountain, but the climb. (Did I really just reference Miley Cyrus? Who am I???)
