The First Look
Typically on wedding days we jump into capturing the details that make the day what it is. But this Columbia, SC wedding day started with Andrew and Iris’s first look. Iris stepped behind Andrew for him to turn around and give an endearing reaction. He was all smiles when he got to see Iris in her mother’s repurposed wedding dress by Brianna Etheridge. Iris still looked flawless during this moment even as she shed tears for the love of her life.
The Vows
Something I really love that couples do during their first look is exchange vows. It gives them a more intimate setting to express their love. Andrew and Iris exchanged their vows during their first look before jumping into their formal portraits.
Couples Portraits
Yah.. Iris and Andrew sure have had their sweet moments already during their endearing South Carolina zoo wedding photography but there’s more to come. Savannah and this couple got to wander around the zoo before their ceremony and capture stunning wedding portraits. This tropical setting right here at the zoo was lovely.

Of course we can’t forget about the wedding party. They are the backbone of the couple on every wedding day and they looked amazing next to this bride and groom.
The Ceremony
The sun was shining perfectly at the birdhouse at this Riverbanks Zoo and Garden’s wedding. If you didn’t think this endearing South Carolina zoo wedding photography could get sweeter, Andrew shed tears as his bride was escorted down the aisle to him. After their special wedding traditions, exchanging wedding bands, and their first kiss, Iris and Andrew were husband and wife!
Post Ceremony Portraits
A stoic lioness greeting these newlyweds for their post wedding ceremony portraits really was the icing on the cake. Iris and Andrew couldn’t have looked more happy and it was just a joy to see.
The Reception Decor
Andrew and Iris have a lovely reception set up at the Watering Hole. The Riverbanks Zoo and Gardens really made this exotic venue feel warm and cozy.
The Reception
Remember that repurposed dress that Iris wore from her mother? Well she entered her reception with a surprise! The full gown was actually just a belt. With her new short dress, her and Andrew gave a a grateful toast to their guests and Iris danced with her father. Cake was cut, guests celebrated, and Iris and Andrew said their goodbyes!
