Fall Wedding at Millstone at Adams Pond

Ali and Michael were married in the fall of 2020 at the Millstone at Adams Pond. Their wedding day was truly flawless and a perfect representation of them as a couple! I am so excited to share with you today some of their South Carolina wedding photos from their wedding day in Columbia, South Carolina at the Millstone at Adams Pond.

Wedding Day Details

As I normally do, I started the day by photographing the couple’s details, invitation suite, and any other smaller things while they both prepared separately for their wedding day. These are some of my favorite images to photograph on wedding days, and I’m so glad Ali and Michael gave me the time to capture these for them.

Getting Ready for the Wedding

Michael got ready surrounded by a few of his groomsmen and his dad. It was so refreshing to spend the morning photographing details and popping into Michael’s getting ready room to feel their calm, yet excited vibe in the air.

Ali got ready just a few doors away within the Millstone at Adams Pond, surrounded by those she loves the most and even had a moment to spend with their French bulldog pup before her First Look with Michael!

I was so excited to learn that Ali and Michael decided to allow Wrigley to join them for photos and moments on their wedding day! He was there during their engagement session, and it’s always fun for me as a photographer to have a moment to photograph the couple with one of their four-legged babies!

Allie and Michael are such a joyful pair, so photographing their First Look and then moving into their formal portraits prior to their wedding ceremony was easy and flowed effortlessly.

Surprise Wedding Day Gifts

I especially love that Ali decided to give Michael a really fun gift as a surprise of their day! She gifted her groom an orange suit coat to celebrate his love for his favorite sports team as a surprise. I absolutely love surprises on wedding day, and I can tell that Michael was overjoyed by the gift Ali got for him.

After their portraits were complete and things were moving along for the wedding day, we all prepared to enjoy Ali and Michael’s wedding ceremony in front of the pond at the Millstone at Adams Pond. The wonderful Alexandra of Alexandra Madison weddings was their wedding planner, and she pulled off their event effortlessly!

After Ali and Michael’s wedding ceremony, we photographed them together with their families and snagged just a few more portraits of a couple together as the sun set.

Then it was time for their reception! Ali and Michael invested in a live band to keep the party moving for their reception. And if I do say so myself, I think it was totally worth it! The entire reception was so much from fun from start to finish, and we ended the night under a shower of sparklers and with a kiss from a couple!
