Today’s couple is one that is very close to my heart. I am overjoyed at finally being able to share with you this stunning Holly Tree Country Club wedding! Not only is this day so full of love and cool details, but it was also such an honor for me to be their Greenville SC wedding photographer because before Dani and Sam were my clients, they were my friends!
I was so happy to be able to join them for Sam’s surprise proposal to Dani, their engagement session, Dani’s Falls Park bridal session, and now be their Greenville, SC wedding photographer!
Dani incorporated so many incredible details into her day to make it just that much more unique and special. Things like a custom caplet on her gown inspired by Game of Thrones to her unique little dragon ring, every detail was well thought out and placed with great care. Sam started out the day with his guys. While we were photographing just them, I could tell he was just a bit nervous. But once he saw his bride and they said their vows, I noticed all of his nerves quickly went away. True love does that sort of thing, you know?
Truly, this beautiful Greenville, South Carolina wedding was perfect in every way, and I’m happy, as a Greenville SC wedding photographer, to be sharing with you Dani and Sam’s wedding! Enjoy!

Of course, you know I always already excited about this wedding because, well you know, PURPLE!! My girl Dani had the BEST details, y’all!
You see that lace above and below? This piece, along with a few others, are pieces of handmade lace that Dani’s great great grandmother stitched by hand over 100 years ago. Dani’s mom wrapped up her bouquet in a bit of lace and added a few pieces into her bouquet as little lace flowers. Such a beautiful way to commemorate her, wasn’t it?
Dani’s mom, grandmother, sister, and girls all helped her into her gown before portraits. There were so many sweet moments between them!
I’m so happy Dani requested for me to set up and photograph the first look between her and her daddy because it was SUCH a sweet moment. He looked overjoyed at how stunning Dani was in her gown, and they shared a sweet hug before moving into portraits. These are some of my favorite moments from wedding days, so I’m incredibly overjoyed that Dani asked for us to take time to create this for her and her dad.
Showing off her caplet!!
And then we started to get right into portraits with Dani and her bride squad!
Simple Stems blew these bouquets out of the water, no?
Okay, ladies, get into formation!
I love this next image!!
Now for a few details from the groom…
And here he is!! The handsome and funny Samuel, everyone!
And then we rolled right into portraits with the guys…
You’d never guess it, but while we were photographing these portraits under cover of the country club, it was POURING rain from one of those quick Southern thunderstorms that come through for about 20 minutes! Thankfully, Holly Tree could accommodate us and that the guys rocked out their portraits!
Sam!!! Look at this genuine smile. That’s a happy groom right there!
Now for the ceremony in a church that Dani’s father helped design! How cool!
A few tears from the bride and if you look REALLY closely, you can see a few tears in Sam’s eyes when he saw her…
Dani’s voice cracked when she promised her forever to Sam, and honestly, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house for their ceremony.
And, they are married!!!
After a few quick shots of the wedding party in the church, we headed back to Holly Tree for more portraits and the reception!
And now for some of my favorite bride and groom portraits, basically, ever…
A little caplet action…
So basically, as you can see, they are FLAWLESS.
This next shot on the right with Sam laughing? Might be my favorite!
Mr. & Mrs. Campbell, everyone.
And now to the PARTY!!!
See those Erlenmeyer flasks as table centerpieces? Well, Dani is a scientist (that’s putting it lightly, she’s incredibly smart and talented in her field) and wanted to incorporate that part of her life into her reception. Such a unique detail, right?
And you can’t go wrong with a candy buffet put together by the bride and groom either!
The couple shared a sweet first dance.
Then Dani and her dad danced together, and Sam and his mom shared a dance. Then we cut some delicious cake and got to the fun part, the dancing!
No wedding reception would be complete without heartfelt toasts from the best man and maid of honor.
If you’re seeing these dancing photos and thinking to yourself, “oh wow, Dani is such a fun and cool bride!” You would be correct. She truly is one of a kind!
And the couple ended their evening under a shower of bubbles.
I hope you enjoyed this stunning Holly Tree Country Club wedding by me, a Greenville SC wedding photographer, and friend to this incredible couple. Leave them your love and congratulations below!
And to Sam and Dani,
Sheesh, where do I even start, my friends? From your surprise proposal, Sam, to your bridal session, Dani, every image I was able to photograph of your love story was an honor. You two have such a special place in my heart, and I can’t wait to walk beside you both as you grow your family together. It’s been pure joy, and from the deepest part of my heart, thank you for trusting me with your memories. I could never repay you for the blessing you’ve been in my life throughout the past few years. I wish you both the best in everything you do and hope that your marriage will last a lifetime full of goodness, love, and maybe even a few dragons!
