Amber and Hope’s LGBTQ+ Proposal Story
Amber and Hope met at their work and the rest was simply history. It’s funny, because their proposal was completely unexpected! Hope actually proposed to Amber first! She had just gotten her first travel nurse job and told Amber she wouldn’t be able to make the family trip due to scheduling, little did Amber know, Hope had bigger plans!
She showed up that evening to the family beach house to surprise Amber and her son. After greeting Amber, she went down to the beach to see her son who was already down there. Amber gathered a few things from the house and headed down to the beach just a few minutes behind Hope!
As Amber tells it, she “walked to the end of the beach path and saw our family with their phones out and just around the corner I found Hope down on one knee. I believe the first words out of my mouth were ‘are you serious?’ followed by tears! She’s always created these unforgettable moments for us throughout our relationship.
Hope never ceases to amaze me. After our vacation she went back to Arizona where her travel assignment was and a few weeks later I left my job to join her on that journey. I had already bought her a ring and found a beautiful spot on Lake Havasu, AZ with a perfect sunset. We took an evening hike to this spot where I asked her to be my wife.”
The Love To Make The Perfect LGBTQ+ Engagement
Amber said they both agreed that there wasn’t one specific moment that stands out where they just knew they were in love with each other, but a collaboration of moments. They both had just ended relationships and found each other in the midst of a “hurricane”, as Hope calls it. Hope and Amber established a solid friendship based on compassion and honesty and then the rest was history. Which lead us to these amazing images taken of their LGBTQ+ engagement at the Rye Patch and Hopeland Gardens.
How Amber Loves Hope
“Hope is incredible. I can’t think of one thing that I don’t love about her. She is literally the most honest person I’ve ever met. Whether it’s good or bad, she’s going to tell you about it. That’s what has made us so strong as a couple. What you see is what you get with her. I think that is so pure! She is definitely the “ying” to my “yang”. She’s a go getter, a now or never, live in the moment type of woman and that has opened up my world to so many things!
I love the way she never meets a stranger, that she’s confident and doesn’t care what other people think. I love the way she dances with Brayden and the way they both admire themselves in the mirror. She makes me laugh until I hurt and she brings out a confidence in me that I never had before. The way she lives so free spirited is something I admire about her every day.”
How Hope Loves Amber
“I love absolutely everything about Amber. From her red hair to her gorgeous smile to her long legs and grandma hands. She puts in so much effort to make our relationship amazing. I love her style and the way she puts so much hair spray in her hair and I love that she pays so much attention to detail. She’s honest with me.She respects herself and me to the fullest. She is loyal and committed and has been since the beginning. She doesn’t give up on anything she wants. Amber puts her whole heart into anything she does. She’s the greatest friend anyone could ever have. She’s a fighter and a lover and she’s better than anything I could have ever imagined a partner could be.”
