Columbia Craft Brewing Company Engagement
Will and Liz

Will and Liz are such a special couple, and I am so excited to share with you today there Columbia Craft Brewing Company engagement session. These two cuties are planning for their wedding early next year in March. We met up for a fun session to commemorate their engagement, and I’m excited to share it with you these images today!

Columbia Craft Brewing Company Engagement

Will and Liz absolutely love visiting Columbia Craft Brewing Company, a local craft brewery in Columbia, SC. When I asked Liz where she thought would be a great location to start off their engagement session, Columbia Craft was her first suggestion to help get them both warmed up to the camera.

These love to together spend time together and are truly best friends. After we snagged a few drinks at Columbia Craft ,we headed outside to grab a few portraits with their dogs Mako and Riley.

All-in-all this session was such a blast for me to photograph, because Will and Liz are exactly the kind of couple that I love to connect with. They are genuine, passionate, and in love. That’s what I’m all about!

I hope you enjoy my favorite photos from Will and Liz’s Columbia Craft Brewing Company engagement session, and that you enjoy reading a little bit about how the couple met and got engaged below!

Liz said, “During my freshman year of college at Furman University, I went down to Charleston for St. Patrick’s Day. I met Will through mutual friends and thought he was super cute. Five months later, we both transferred to Clemson for totally unrelated reasons, and we’ve been together ever since!”

Mako and Riley

Will and Liz brought along their two pups for a few photos, because these two little fur babies are a big part of their lives. Liz works incredibly hard to train both Mako and Riley, and she and Mako are even looking into starting competitions this year! If you want to find out more about Liz and her dogs you can follow Riley and Mako on Instagram right HERE. They’re pretty popular over there or so I hear… ;)

Liz said, “A couple weekends after we moved into a rental house together, Will dragged a friend and I up to the mountains out of nowhere because, “the weather is nice and he wanted to go hiking.”
We ended up hiking Black Balsam Knob in Pisgah National Forest, which has incredible 360 degree views along the entire mountain and where Will backpacks all the time. As we were hiking, a rainstorm was rolling in up the mountainside. When we reached the top, Will took a knee pretty casually, and asked, “Hey Liz, will you marry me?”
Mako tried to intrude, and Riley carried the ring up the mountain. I started crying and laughing at the same time. Once we outrun the rain for a few minutes, Will stopped and said his full proposal.”

Liz said, “Will brings out the best in me. He encourages me to be the best version of myself and supports me in everything that I do. He’s seen me at my worst and loves me in spite of my faults. I love him because he’s my partner in everything that I do.”
Will said, “Liz is a perfect complement to me. Despite a very different personality and approach to the world, she loves me for who I am, with all of my idiosyncrasies. She understands who I am and how I think, and supports everything I do as an equal partner.”

1. Stare at Riley and say “aww what a good girl!” <–honestly I can’t even lie, we spend a lot of time doing that, no shame! Ha!
2. We love to spend time outside together with the dogs.
3. We really enjoy cooking together and trying new beers or wines.

Liz said, “Honestly, I don’t remember the exactly moment. We happened so naturally that I just remember wanting to spend time with Will every day. I never did (and still don’t) get tired of just being with him.”
Will said, “Same here. It was a natural fit from the time we caught up at Clemson.”

I really hope you enjoyed a few of my favorite frames from Will and Liz is Columbia Craft Brewing Company engagement session and their portraits in Columbia, South Carolina. I am so excited about being Will and Liz’s Columbia SC wedding photographer.

P.s. I just have to say, I am SO thankful for clients who love craft beer and dogs as much as I do!
