A little over a month ago, English and Samantha got married in a Columbia, South Carolina backyard lesbian wedding ceremony with only their closest friends and family in attendance. I’m excited to share a few portraits with you that I photographed of these sweet newlyweds to celebrate their new marriage. English and Sam wanted to document the momentous time in their lives with beautiful photos. I’m so honored that the brides chose me as their same-sex friendly wedding photographer.

English and Sam decided to bring along their two dogs during their session for a few photos of all of them together as a family If you know me, you know that I am always happy when my clients bring along their fur babies for a few photos together. English and Samantha’s pups, Kerwin and Zoe, wore a matching bandana and bowtie set. They rocked out their photos with the couple. What better photo prop could one have other than a doggo or two, amiright?

English and Samantha laughed and giggled throughout their entire newlywed session! The joy and excitement about this big step in their relationship were so evident in every photo of the couple together. Right after we met up to photograph these Columbia, South Carolina backyard lesbian wedding portraits, English and Samantha took a big leap and moved to Colorado. So, not only were these portraits meant to commemorate their marriage and the beginning of their life together, but also to remember their time in Columbia, SC.
I think that Kerwin and Zoe really tried to steal the show. The pups were so cute in every pose with the newlyweds! But the dogs could not outshine the style and sophistication of these two lovely brides. I loved getting a chance to photograph English for the first time after knowing each other for a few years. Honestly, I cannot get over her gorgeous curls!! Sam donned a bowtie and looked so sharp. I really love how this couple decided to dress up just a bit for their photos together to ensure that their session and portraits were just that much more special.
