I am so excited to share with you Rex and Savannah’s Southern Oaks Event Venue wedding photos from their recent South Carolina winter wedding day. Rex and Savannah celebrated their wedding day surrounded by those they love the most, and I absolutely adore how their days images came together. I am so I excited to share with you their moments and memories and walk you through how their day unfolded in front of my camera. Southern Oaks Event Venue Wedding Photos

Preparation for Their Wedding Day

Rex and Savannah prepared for their wedding day surrounded by their wedding party members and family. They both dressed quickly in their respective getting ready rooms within the Southern Oaks Event Venue. Rex popped in to check in on Savannah’s progress throughout the morning as her hair and makeup were completed, but waited to see her in her gown until their first look.

The First Look

The couple decided to see each other before their ceremony to spend a few private moments together and complete all of their photographs before their evening union ceremony. I absolutely adore these photos of Rex and Savannah together on the grounds of the Southern Oaks Event Venue. The beautiful winter light behind them and their clear connection really make these pretty photos pop!

Wedding Party Portraits

We also photographed the couple and their wedding party together before their ceremony to knock out all of their formal photos so they could get right to the party after the ‘I do’s’! Rex, Savannah, and their wedding party were such a joy to work with. We had so much fun photographing these formal portraits of the group together and throwing up a few spurs up for the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Evening Wedding Ceremony

Savanna and Rex were married on a cold winter evening in January earlier this year. They decided to host their candle-lit ceremony after dark to ensure it was as intimate and romantic as possible. Lit by only candle light from the hanging chandelier above them, the couple exchanged vows and sealed their promise to each other with a kiss.

The Reception, Dances, & Grand Exit

After the ceremony, Rex and Savannah immediately headed into their reception to dance the night away with those they love the most! Both of them shared dances with their parents, and Savannah shared a special dance with her younger brother. After a few heartfelt toasts, a sweet cake cutting, and a few other fun traditions, Rex and Savannah exited their reception under a shower of bubbles and cheers!
