I am so excited to share with you Shelley and Dru’s The Ole Oak Barn wedding photos today! This day was emotional and sweet; the perfect Southern wedding day. The Ole Oak Barn Wedding and Event venue was the perfect setting for Dru and Shelley to finally tied the knot!
The Ole Oak Barn Wedding Photos
Shelley got ready for her wedding day surrounded by her mom and closest girlfriends. She wore a stunning wedding gown with an elegant high neck, and she looked exactly like the perfect southern bride you’d find an any magazine. Dru wore a navy blue linen suit that complimented him handsomely, and I loved the way Shelley and Dru’s chosen colors came together through the day. Dru prepared to marry his best friend surrounded by his father and his closest friends, as well.
Shelly and her father shared an emotional moment after he saw her for the first time on the day! And, whew, was it so sweet to witness!! Shelley and her father’s ‘First Look’ was just one of the moments where my camera captured a few tears on this wedding day!
Emotional Ceremony
They were married in an emotional ceremony outside The Ole Oak Barn. One of my favorite elements from their day was that the first few rows of their ceremony were antique church pews instead of chairs. The pews brought in the feeling reverence and feeling of being in a church for a ceremony, just outside.
Wait till you see Dru’s reaction to his new bride, my friends! He had the sweetest reaction to her processional into the ceremony on the arms of her father and brother. Shelley and Drew even wrote their own vows on their wedding day, and there was not a dry eye in the entire congregation as they made their promises to one another! They even wiped tears away from each other’s faces as they spoke; it was the sweetest moment.
Stunning Couples Portraits
The couple and their wedding party had so much fun during the day and at the reception, and you can absolutely see their joy in these frames! I absolutely adore Shelley and Dru’s portraits together as husband and wife. They look so flawless and in love in the sunlight, and a few of them are going into my personal favorites-of-all-time folder!
You might recognize these two from their South Carolina Statehouse engagement session and Shelley’s 701 Whaley bridal session that I have previously shared on the blog, and I am so excited that the time has finally come to share with you their wedding day!
I hope you enjoy Shelley and Dru’s The Ole Oak Barn wedding photos and this small peek into their wedding day. Their day was an absolute joy to photograph, and I am so excited about sharing their memories with you. Be sure to let this lovely couple know if you love their photos in the comments below!
Oh Shelley, you are such a gorgeous bride!!
Shelley and her father shared an emotional moment on their Ole Oak Barn wedding day. A ‘daddy-daughter First Look’, you could say. They have a special relationship, and their connection is so evident in these photos. There was not a dry eye around when Shelley’s dad saw her for the first time on her wedding day!
Dru told me he hated photos when we first met for his engagement portraits at the South Carolina Statehouse last year. By the end of our experience together, he was giving my camera genuine grins! Photographer’s mission: accomplished.
Dru’s reaction to seeing Shelley for the first time on their wedding day was priceless. How sweet, right?!
Shelley and Dru wrote their own vows and shared laughs and tears during their ceremony as they made their promises to one another. It was incredibly sweet to witness, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the congregation.
That ‘Just Married!’ moment!
These two photograph together flawlessly, I swear!!!
