This 2022 year as a wedding photographer in South Carolina was a dream. JHP not only had a wonderful year capturing unique couples in Columbia, South Carolina, but we added destination wedding photographer to our resume! Beginning Of The Wedding Year
We started this year off in Columbia, South Carolina outdoors at the Lace House with Elizabeth and Christian. They added a unique touch to their wedding day and recited their vows at their first look. It was something that I’ve truly adored as a wedding photographer. Having couples feel comfortable and sharing their love really makes wedding photography easy peasy!
After intimate vows came snow fall on Valentines Day. The JHP team stepped inside to celebrate with Niky and Chavis at 1208 Washington and the romance was truly in the air! From their thoughtful wedding details to their gorgeous decor styled by By Invitation Only, this day was flawless from beginning to end. And the snow machine? 10/10. Springing To Charleston, South Carolina
The spring weather brought JHP to the lovely coast of South Carolina. Celebrating gorgeous wedding couples in Charleston, South Carolina, a perfect destination for all marriers, has me smelling the salt filled air all over again. A perfect union between Tori and Michael kicked the Spring wedding season off! They had a day I could only describe as elegant and timeless. With 4 different locations of capturing moments, it’s a beautiful wedding you’ll want to see for yourself.
As I captured Tori and Michaels wedding day, our JHP associate, Savannah, was capturing a more intimate day with Camille and Malcom! They had a change in plans due to covid, but their love prevailed! Even Charleston, South Carolina is a perfect destination for small elopements. There’s so many places to capture gorgeous images, like The Battery and Rainbow Row!
Once these two lovely wedding couples had their wedding days, Savannah and I joined together to capture Briteny and Abe’s lovely Charleston, SC wedding weekend. They not only had a flawless wedding day with their close family and friends, but the celebrated a second day with their friends and family with an oyster roast! Abe and Briteny really knew how to celebrate and bring together their loved ones.

I gotta tell ya, Columbia, South Carolina really has some beautiful locations for weddings. And the diverse couples that married in their unique ways is something really worth celebrating. After we returned from Charleston, South Carolina, we finished out the Spring wedding season with Jax and Jared. They incorporated all the spring time florals with the help of By Design into their wedding day and it truly defined their Spring theme!
As we headed into the summer months of the wedding year, Savannah got to spend 3 days with an incredible couple, Anjali and Jimmy. She first celebrated their Turmeric Ceremony, their Sangeet Ceremony on the second day, and then their official wedding day on the third day. Anjali and Jimmy had such a colorful wedding week and their Hindu ceremonies are something you need to experience for yourself!
Chelsey and Donovan got to experience their wedding day at a new wedding venue in Columbia, South Carolina. The Hampton Preston Garden’s was a perfect venue to feel all the summer vibes with this sweet couple. The West Coast Weddings
Adding destination photographer to my resume really makes it so easy to celebrate this 2022 year. Not once, but TWICE, the team packed up and headed to San Francisco with flowers in our hair! Rachel and Danny were first on the list with their winery wedding. Their traditional Jewish wedding had a twist with a bud bar at their reception. Yes, a bud bar. A nice way to enjoy their love at their reception.
Tris and Nick had a fine celebration with all their friends and family in October of 2022. They celebrated at The Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, California. It was heartwarming to see their loved ones give toasts and speeches about this couple’s love. It really speaks to me that love has taken me to so many beautiful places, like this wedding in San Francisco.
The End Of The Year
It was amazing to travel to so many locations to photograph such special memories. Even when JHP didn’t travel and captured weddings right here in Columbia, South Carolina, it was a dream. Celebrating a very elegant wedding with Ashton and RJ gave all the love and laugher, especially once USC’s Sir Big Spur was added to RJ’s wedding party. To keep this year truly on an elegant theme, celebrating with Gillian and Ebony at 701 Whaley really set the bar! These elegant wedding days really made the 2022 wedding year amazing and their weddings you just have to see!
